Stan "The Man" Musial's list of unfathomable superlatives includes a .331 lifetime average, 3,630 hits, 475 home runs, nearly 2,000 RBIs, seven batting titles, three MVPs and a staggering 24 All-Star Game appearances. This 1951 PSA Type 1 illustration that was taken during the campaign when Musial would lead the Senior Circuit in batting for the fifth time in his illustrious career via a .355 mark. The extremely well-centered image portrays an awe-inspiring Musial batting pose boasting near-perfect clarity and contrast. Minor flaws include a staple hole and crease near the left edge/border, with the final superlative being the critical KUENZEL-DETROIT NEWS credit stamp on the verso.
