c.1926 Tony Lazzeri Rookie PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Charles Conlon Underwood & Underwood Photo – Measures Approx. 8" x 10

LAZZERI ROOKIE!!! The NY Yankees legendary Hall of Famer Tony Lazzeri batted in over 100 runs in seven different seasons and boasted five world championships. In 1926, Lazzeri commenced his MLB career in the Bronx, teaming up with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig to form baseball's most formidable trifecta. The hard-hitting second-baseman would post a .275 batting average, club 18 round trippers and bat in 117 runs with "Poosh 'Em Up" Tony now here to stay. Presented here is a stellar 1926 Charles Conlon rookie image of the Big Apple star, portraying the 22-year-old phenom in a classic throwing pose before the start of the 1926 World Series. Fine clarity brings this nearly century-old image to life, with the only notable flaws being chips at the upper left and lower right corners. The verso includes the critical Underwood & Underwood credit stamp and a caption detailing the events of this Lazzeri rookie masterpiece!
