His microscopic 1.89 ERA resides as the second lowest figure in baseball history behind Ed Walsh's 1.82 mark, and his 0.968 lifetime WHIP (walks & hits per nine innings) still stands as the lowest figure in baseball history. Joss cards hold a special place with baseball purists since he tragically passed away on April 14, 1911 at the very tender age of 31, the victim of spinal meningitis. The classic Joss image is strikingly similar to his T206 and E93 subjects, with the vibrant hues and crystal-clear clarity stealing the show.
