1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets #1 Mordecai Brown Checklist Back PSA 4 VG-EX

T3 MINER BROWN!!! One of the most popular T3 Turkey Red Cabinets is the number one subject, Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown, with this super eye-pleasing PSA 4 yours for the taking. Brown achieved his iconic "Three Finger" nickname when, as a young farm boy, he accidentally stuck his hand in a corn shredder, severely cutting his index finger and paralyzing his pinky finger. His injured hand eventually seemed to be the primary reason for the uncanny movement on his pitches, leading him to 239 career wins and a spectacular 2.06 ERA. The obverse side truly reveals EX+ aesthetics, complemented by the classic pitching pose, which portrays crystal-clear clarity and vibrant hues. Accounting for the grade is some surface damage situated on the verso's upper region, subtle corner wear, an area of soiling near the obverse side's lower left corner, and general surface wear. Justifying "Miner" Brown's T3 reverence is a PSA 6 example recently fetching a lofty $50K in Memory Lane's January 2024 auction!
