1948 Leaf #93 Bob Feller SP PSA 7 NM
RAPID BOB SHORT PRINT!!! One of Hall of Famer Bob Feller's most significant cards is his 1948 Leaf #93 Short Print subject, presented here in a scarce PSA 7 holder. One of a mere eight PSA examples at this hallowed plateau, only six specimens have managed to achieve a higher grade! The fact that only six copies best this 7 NM offering substantiates the immense scarcity and condition sensitivity of the 1948 Leaf short print subjects. Finding any examples is tough enough, but locating one with a pack-fresh assessment is a near-impossible task.

Plagued by poor registration and skewed centering, a majority of the known examples present themselves in an unsightly manner. Not the case for this Rapid Bob offering, which reveals excellent image positioning as well as an eye-pleasing half-bust Feller pose offering fine resolution. Both surfaces have eluded any glaring flaws, and the square corners are consistent with the grade. Even after losing almost four full years of his prime in the Navy during WWII, Feller still managed to win an astounding 266 games, including six 20-win seasons, 2,500+ lifetime strikeouts and a staggering 348 Ks in a single season. One of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, this PSA 7 heirloom truly resides as one of his most miraculous cardboard treasures!
