1967 Topps #400 Signed Roberto Clemente PSA 8 NM-MT AUTO GRADE

Total Autographed Pop: 3; Total "Unsigned" Pop: 3,770; Var.% (Signed vs. Unsigned Pop): 0.08%
The 1967 campaign would result in the great Roberto Clemente posting the highest batting average of his career, with his .357 mark pacing the Senior Circuit for the fourth time of Clemente's esteemed 18-year MLB tenure. The perennial all-star would add 23 dingers, knock in 110 runs and record 209 safeties, while winning his seventh consecutive Gold Glove Award. His 1967 Topps #400 subject would somewhat emulate the image on his 1965 Topps card, portraying an imposing portrait pose that consumed a majority of the card's frame. This particular offering just happens to be boldly autographed "Roberto Clemente" in ballpoint blue ink, with the magnificent vertical signature scripted directly to the left of Roberto's classic portrait illustration and awarded the highly coveted PSA 8 NM-MT assessment.

One of only three signed examples on the PSA population report, it represents a fractional 0.08% of the 3,700+ Unsigned specimens. Also enticing the meticulous collector is the stellar VG-EX eye appeal, with a myriad of autographed vintage cards dating 50+ years revealing sub-standard aesthetics. It is no secret that the 1967 Topps set stands as one of the most popular post-WWII compilations in the hobby, with the Clemente #400 subject one of its highly coveted subjects. That said, we cordially invite you to "throw your hat into the ring" and bid strong on this "Pop 3" scarcity that reveals one of the finest Roberto Clemente signatures you will ever see for this immortal Hall of Famer!
