1952 Topps #352 High Number Signed Karl Drews PSA 5 EX Card Grade; PSA AUTH Auto - POP 1; Highest Graded Example!
Deceased: 1963; Grade Pop: 1; Pop Higher: 0; Total Pop: 3
Crafty right-hander Karl Drews pitched eight MLB seasons, with three of those campaigns spent in the "City of Brotherly Love." He retired after the 1954 season and only nine years later on August 15, 1963, was tragically killed by a drunken driver at the young age of 43 in Florida while assisting someone in changing a flat tire. Fortunately for Drews, his "Good Samaritan" legacy lives on forever via this incredible "Pop 1" highest graded offering that truly resides as one of the rarest of all 1952 Topps scripted "high-numbered" subjects!
