1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Picture Pack Complete with 25 Photos Jackie Robinson PSA 6.5 EX-MT+
'47 DODGERS PICTURES!!! The 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Picture Pack was similar to the previous 25-subject photo packs distributed at souvenir stands throughout Ebbets Field dating back to 1940. These 6-1/2" x 9" black and white portrait photographs featured the 1947 players and coaches including the newest edition, Jackie Robinson. This was the first installment that did not include HOF manager Leo Durocher, who was serving a year-long suspension from Commissioner Happy Chandler. Led off by coach Ray Blades, and also including manager Burt Shotton, the offered set highlights Hall of Famers like Robinson, Gil Hodges, Pee Wee Reese and Duke Snider as well as stars like Ralph Branca, Carl Furillo, Pete Reiser and Dixie Walker. This stadium premium set remains in overall EX condition with the Jackie Robinson encapsulated PSA 6.5 EX-MT+. This rarely graded example of the ground-breaking Robinson is a Pop 1 with only one graded higher. This was another set that marked a change in Major League Baseball forever!
