Lot of Two Extremely Rare 1933 Goudey #6 Signed Jimmy Dykes Subjects – One w/CORRECT "36 in Bio" (PSA AUTHENTIC – POP 1); One w/INCORRECT "26 in Bio" (SGC AUTHENTIC – PSA POP 2)
When the Goudey Gum Company originally issued the #6 Jimmy Dykes subject in their landmark 1933 set, they incorrectly stated he was 26 years old on the verso's mini-bio. Goudey eventually re-issued the card with the Dykes correct "36" age, and presented here just happens to be BOTH the "26" and "36" Jimmy Dykes subjects autographed by the Athletics star third sacker. The correct "36" variation resides in a PSA Authentic holder and stands as the sole example on the PSA population report. The originally issued incorrect "26 in Bio" is SGC Authentic, with PSA's "Pop" Chart only listing two of these "26" variations. Both ink signatures are affixed along the left border in vertical fashion, with this extremely rare offering a near-impossible tandem for even the most sophisticated enthusiast!
