(LOT 270)
1933 Goudey #194 Signed Earl Averill (SGC AUTHENTIC)

Hall of Famer Earl Averill is one of the Cleveland Indians' greatest players ever, ending his career with a stellar .318 lifetime batting average. Famous for hitting the line drive that broke Dizzy Dean's toe in the 1937 All-Star game, the six-time all-star retired in 1941 after a splendid 13-year career Averill. Fortunately, his legacy lingers on via this outstanding 1933 Goudey #194 subject autographed "Earl Averill" in period blue ink. The card's super eye pleasing "VG" aesthetics accompany the ultra-elusive signature, placing this scarcity as one of the finest Averill cardboard keepsakes extant!
