1933 Goudey #29 Signed Jimmie Foxx (Beckett AUTHENTIC) – Only 4 PSA Encapsulated Examples! - Includes a JSA/James Spence LOA

This Beckett encapsulated 1933 Goudey #29 Jimmie Foxx offering has been neatly signed "Jim Foxx" by the immortal power-hitting first sacker in bold pencil to the right of his legendary swinging pose. Most significantly, the card itself has stubbornly defied "father-time", revealing many of its original factory issued attributes that provide superb "VG-EX" aesthetics. Its unequivocal rarity is confirmed by the illustrious PSA grading company that lists only four meager examples on their exalted 'Pop" Chart! It is critical to note that a boldly signed pencil script typically eliminates any concerns with an autograph fading throughout the years, as opposed to the potential diminishing strength of fountain pen signatures over an extended period of time due to any sunlight exposure. Ironically, the year this card was issued, Foxx would claim the American League Triple Crown by belting 48 dingers, knocking in 163 runs and posting a sensational .356 batting average via his 204 safeties.

He was now the toast of the town, with the "City of Brotherly Love" worshiping this supernatural-like slugger who so appropriately was nicknamed 'The Beast" due to his muscular physique and uncanny power. The classic Charles Conlon batting pose projects superior eye appeal as Foxx has just crushed another horsehide sphere towards the furthest confines of another ballpark. He would accomplish this glorious feat 534 times in his remarkable career, and one of his greatest seasons would be 1933 when as previously stated, he claimed the American League's revered Triple Crown. His spectacular batting feats including 1,922 R.B.I.'s and a .325 lifetime batting average forever place him as one of our National Pastime's greatest all-time hitters, and it should be noted that a prior signed Foxx Goudey captured a record-breaking $124K in February 2021. It therefore comes as little surprise that sophisticated collectors scramble to capture Foxx's rarest and most valuable mementos, with only a handful possibly boasting the world-class stature of this momentous offering. Indeed, the scarce combination of a bold "Jim Foxx" autograph on his aesthetically pleasing '33 Goudey subject clearly place this revered keepsake as one of the most significant signed Goudey cards on the planet!
