(LOT 67)
1952 Topps #389 Ben Wade "High Number" PSA 9 Mint -Highest Graded PSA Example!

Right-handed twirler Ben Wade tooled around with four different teams from 1948 thru 1955, playing five MLB seasons. After joining the "big-leagues" with the Cubs in 1948, he did not re-emerge with an MLB club until 1952 when the Brooklyn Dodgers called him up from the minors. Although Wade only won 19 games in a rather brief career, this PSA 9 Mint 1952 Topps #389 Ben Wade offering merits the highest hobby accolades, immensely carrying on his legacy by joining four other PSA 9's as the "best of the best!"
Indeed, no ordinary "common", its rightful place at the top of the PSA ''Pop" Chart is substantiated by the radiant-like aesthetics including an imposing portrait image, rich facial hues, near-perfect centering (with an extremely slight tilt towards the upper left corner), dazzling white borders, blistering sharp corner tips and impeccable surfaces. A bona fide winner, it has stubbornly defied 70 years of potential wear by retaining virtually all of its original factory issued features!
