(LOT 1764)
c.1960s Yogi Berra PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Photo Measures Approx. 8" x 10"

This outstanding c.1960s Yogi Berra PSA Type 1 photo portrays the Cooperstown inductee in his legendary catching "squatting" position during the twilight of his amazing 18-year New York Yankees career. Arguably considered the greatest catcher of all-time (along with Johnny Bench), it would virtually take a full catalog to appropriately list all of Yogi Berra's sensational achievements. Highly noted for his clutch performances on baseball's grandest stages, Berra's World Series records include: 14 appearances, 10 championships, 75 games played in and 71 all-time hits. If that isn't enough, he won three MVP awards and played in a remarkable 15 all-star games. Along with the immortal Mickey Mantle, he was the main cog on a Yankee team that played in a majority of the Fall Classics from the late 1940s through the early 1960s. All of the above are a steadfast testament to Yogi's all-time stature, and this brilliant offering truly resides as a perfect representation of the immortal Berra. The only noteworthy flaw is a faint paper clip impression near the upper region/edge (barely visible to the naked eye), with the sparkling resolution and impeccable contrast the highlights of this extremely well-centered Berra keepsake!
