1969 Topps #25 Lew Alcindor Rookie Card – PSA-Graded Near-Mint 7!

Introducing Lew Alcindor, soon to be one of the most dominant players in the NBA. As one of the most touted rookies emerging from the John Wooden-UCLA basketball player making machine of the 1960s and '70s, Alcindor's arrival in the NBA did not disappoint as he dominated with a league-leading 938 field goals and 2,361 total points, while also pulling down 1,190 rebounds (3rd most behind Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld, respectively). He was the NBA Rookie of the Year and also garnered a 3rd place finish in NBA MVP voting that year behind Willis Reed and Jerry West, respectively. Offered is a Topps 1969 #25 Lew Alcindor PSA NM 7 rookie card. A snow-white border surrounds the crisp and fresh image and presents with an equally clean back highlighted by exceptional centering. With centering being the primary obstacle to the lack of high-grade Alcindor rookies in the hobby, the offered card would fit very nicely into even the most discriminating advanced collectors set. Displays better than the grade.
