(LOT 787)
Rare 1919 World Series Program at Chicago – Game 4

Jimmy Ring and Eddie Cicotte both pitch complete game gems with Cincinnati winning 2-0. The Black Sox threw the series and their careers away in the most historic gambling scandal in the history of sports. Vintage scored. Not quite as rare as its 1917 counterpart, but immensely more significant historically. Jackson hit .375, but whether he understood or not, he took the money and halfway thru the 1920 season Landis banned him forever. General wear; center creases; one significant tear at bottom center and a smaller one at the top. Slight soiling; minor creases; overall VG.
