1935 National Chicle Near Set of 35/36 PSA Registered Set GPA 7.03 missing #34 Nagurski (Lot 419)
INCREDIBLE COMPLETE SET - LESS NAGURSKI!!! Presented is a near complete 35/36 card 1935 National Chicle PSA Graded Football Registered set, missing just Nagurski. This issue is the cornerstone of football card collecting. The offered set shows little handling and has strong colors with pleasing eye appeal. The Professional League, as football's top level was named at the time, was still in its infancy when these cards were issued. And, as suggested by the wide span of time that passed until another major football issue was released in 1948, the Leaf and Bowman's, it stands to reason that sports card sales were more of a "Field Goal" than a "Touchdown" in 1935. Just a limited amount of National Chicle cards available for today's collectors, the classics lack of initial impact makes a near set, especially in this condition, a significant collecting triumph.

All 35 Cards are Graded by PSA as follows with an average grade of 7.03 and an SMR value of over $33,000. The grades and card numbers are as follows: PSA 8 - #3, 6, 8, 10 Battles, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 24 Hinkle, 28 & 32. PSA 7 - #1 Clark, 2, 5, 9 Rockne, 11 Edwards, 14, 19, 21, 22, 25, 29, 31, 33, 35 & 36 Masterson. PSA 6 - #4, 7, 16, 23 Feathers, 26 & 30. PSA 5 - #27 Tosi. A total of 35 cards all PSA graded.
