(LOT 65)
1909 T204 Ramly Johnny Evers PSA 5 EX

There isn't a single baseball fan that hasn't heard of the "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double play combination that led the Cubs to several pennants and two World Championships in 1907 and 1908. If that wasn't enough, Evers continued his winning ways when as a member of his new Boston Braves N.L. team, he would lead the Braves to their "miracle" sweep of the heavily favorite Athletics in the 1914 World Series. Likewise, this extremely condition sensitive PSA EX 5 T204 Ramly displays championship caliber, with only a single other example graded higher on the illustrious PSA "Pop" Chart. The gold ornate borders and elaborate designs have atypically retained a majority of their original hues, encompassing the classic Carl Horner portrait Evers image that reveals fine clarity and exceptional centering. Most significantly, the gold borders do not exhibit any obtrusive chipping, a typical stigma for any T204 specimen. Relatively clean surfaces and negligible corner wear consistent with the "5" assessment are the final compliments for one of Johnny Evers' toughest cards to pin down in its seldom surfacing mid-grade state!
