(LOT 256)
c.1920's Frank Frisch PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Paul Thompson Photo – Measures Approx. 6-1/2" x 9"

Nicknamed the "Fordham Flash", Hall of Famer Frankie Frisch is one of baseball's finest 2nd baseman's ever, ending his career with a stellar .316 batting average. He led the New York Giants to several championships in the early '20's, and after being traded to St. Louis in 1927, eventually became part of the famous "Gas House Gang", adding two more championships to his already prestigious resume. As a testament for his sheer greatness, this sensational PSA Type 1 Paul Thompson offering depicts a stoic portrait pose of the Cooperstown Inductee donning his classic N.Y. Giants uniform. A few faint surface scratches and an upper right corner chip do not detract from the sparkling image that sports the significant Paul Thompson credit stamp on its verso. A magnificent Frisch keepsake, it rekindles fond memories of when the "Fordham Flash" dominated the second sacker position in world-class fashion!
