1906 Ullman Postcards Christy Mathewson SGC 1 PR
VINTAGE MATTY!!! A few years after the 1903 Breisch Williams cards were produced and before the 1909 T206 Tobacco cards, there wasn't much for fans to collect of their favorite players. This Ullman brown bordered Postcard issued in 1906 was within those 2 issues. This one of Christy Mathewson showcases him on the mound in a pitching motion when the Giants were World Champions. Interesting fact is, Matthewson on the base of the card is misspelled. Too many T's in his last name, which happened a few times on other issues. The offered card has a nice brown border with a small paper loss mark on the front with a clear verso on this issue that was produced 114 years ago. We have never offered one of these rare collectibles and are excited to put this one in a new collectors collection. ULTRA RARE MATTY!!!
