MICHAEL JORDAN SCOTTSDALE SCORPIONS 1994 GAME USED SIGNED BAT PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10 & PSA/DNA LOA for AUTOGRAPH

Michael Jordan memorabilia has skyrocketed since the NETFLIX's Mini-Series, "THE LAST DANCE", and now's your chance to own a part of this mans history-Michael Jeffrey Jordan! 1994 was a trivial time for Michael Jordan. Though he had earlier stated publicly that he would not play for any coach besides Phil Jackson, Jordan explained his decision to retire by saying he had lost the drive and desire that was necessary to continue playing at such a high level, and that he wanted to spend more time with his family. He also cited the recent death of his father as his motivation to give baseball a chance based on his burning desire as a young kid, a dream which would later on became a full-blown reality - the year, 1994. ENTER: Michael Jordan THE BASEBALL PLAYER. Not many athletes can say they're a 2-sport superstar. For all we know, Michael Jordan could have probably been a 3-sport superstar, the NBA followed by MLB and then onto the PGA tour?

From the NBA to the Professional Baseball World, the Scottsdale Scorpions gained worldwide media attention, when Michael Jordan joined them after playing his first minor league baseball season with the Double-A Birmingham Barons in Birmingham, Alabama. It's astonishing that Jordan hung up his AIR JORDAN high-tops, jersey and shorts and made his way to the elite Arizona Fall League where not everyone is invited since this league is reserved for the best of the best. In its 3rd year at the time, the Arizona Fall League hosted legends such as Mike Trout, Mike Piazza, Derek Jeter, Jason Giambi, Albert Pujols and the 6X NBA Champ, 14X NBA All-Star, 10X Scoring Champ, 4X Gold Medalist MICHAEL JORDAN. Jordan's list goes on, and we would need another 15 pages to list his accolades and accomplishments. That season with the Scottsdale Scorpions, Jordan went 31/123, an incredible accomplishment considering the fact that he'd never played on a professional field in his entire life. However, via his burning desire, dedication and passion, MJ worked day in and day out to perfect his swing, work on his base stealing and shag fly balls in the outfield where he eventually played for the Scorpions.

Memory Lane, Inc. is proud to offer, for the first time ever, this Michael Jordan 1994 Scottsdale Scorpions Louisville Slugger Game Used Bat which has been graded by John Taube, Lead Bat Authenticator for PSA/DNA as a PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10. This Louisville Slugger Model C271 Bat is 34" in length, weighs 32.3 oz., is made of ash carrying a fine black finish. Furthermore, the bat is UNCRACKED, making it even scarcer because Jordan would almost never give away an un-cracked bat. He was very particular about his bats and was known to keep them close. The best part about this bat is the story on how the consignor obtained it, and the perfect grade it's garnered-A PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10. PSA/DNA's John Taube explains this "Louisville Slugger model C271 Michael Jordan professional bat is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of excellent use. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. There is a light coat of pine tar on the lower handle and a Michael Jordan PSA authenticated autograph is affixed on the right barrel in bold gold sharpie.

As for our consignor Tony Todd and recently stated in Sports Illustrated, "Back in 1994, Todd met with Michael Jordan after a Scottsdale Scorpions game, one in which Jordan collected two hits. It was one of the rare occasions when Jordan was awe-struck by someone else. A fan of the movie, "Little Big League," the NBA icon signed his game-used bat and handed it over to the man who played Mickey Scales. Some 26 years later, Todd has decided to part ways with it in Memory Lane Inc.'s September/October auction."

The hallowed bat is accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA for the vintage 1994 Gold Signature and an LOA from PSA/DNA specifically for the PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10 Game Used Bat Grade. Also included are copies of photos of Tony Todd from Little Big League and the photo from the Scorpions locker room with Tony, Michael Jordan and Tony's friend Malcolm Norrington. We cannot begin to emphasize the significance of this ultra-rare Jordan offering that has now surfaced for the very first time. When you contemplate the small window of time that Jordan played professional baseball (Spring/Summer/Fall 1994) and how a player can utilize the same bat for an excessive amount of games/plate appearances, the odds of locating an undisputable 10 un-cracked "gamer" is nearly as synonymous as picking the winning lotto number. Simply stated, there are an infinite-like array of Jordan basketball heirlooms to choose from including jerseys, sneakers, basketballs, photos etc., yet locating a game-used artifact from his brief and courageous professional baseball stint is an excruciating endeavor. That said, the fortunate individual placing the final bid on this world-class keepsake will surely feel as if they too hit the jackpot, securing one of the rarest and momentous Michael Jordan collectibles that truly defines his supernatural-like athleticism! This is the only bat known to have clear photo documentation of Jordan giving his personal game used Minor League Bat to a fan.
