Signed Anthony K. Gwynn in the amount of $27.00 on October 11th, 1982, this is a very scarce check with the autograph dating just 2 1/2 months into his first season in the Major Leagues. Gwynn had a .338 career batting average, never hitting below .309 in any full season. He was a 15-time All-Star, recognized for his skills both on offense and defense with 7 Silver Slugger Awards and five Gold Glove Awards. A great piece from this Padres Legend!
