1950 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Photo - Type I Barney Stein Photo – Measures Approx. 8" x 10" – PSA Type 1 Encapsulation

The 1959 Brooklyn Dodgers were "stacked", to say the least, with a myriad of superstars that nearly led them to the National League pennant via their 89 victories. An incredible seven Dodgers would make the N.L. All-Star team that season including Jackie Robinson (HOF), Pee Wee Reese (HOF), Duke Snider (HOF), Roy Campanella (HOF), Gil Hodges, Don Newcombe and Preacher Roe, with four of these superstars eventually enshrined in Cooperstown, New York. Led by manager Burt Shotton, the Dodgers would enter the final day of the season only a single game behind the first place Philadelphia, only to lose their last game and finish two-games behind the pennant winning "Phillies".

This brilliant 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers team photo stands as a stellar testament for that formidable club, and depicts the finest possible contrast and clarity, as well as near-perfect centering between four blinding white borders. Of utmost significance, the iconic Jackie Robinson is standing to the far right in the second row, only three years removed from his earth-shattering 1947 Major League debut. No obtrusive surface flaws are evident with the final exclamation point stamp being the verso's renowned BARNEY STEIN violet credit stamp. One of the finest Brooklyn Dodger team photos extant, its miraculous-like eye appeal and laundry list of superstars including the immortal Jackie Robinson truly earn it a solidified place in any sophisticated photo collection!
