(LOT 307)
1954 Bowman #86 Harry Dorish (PSA Gem Mint 10) – "1 of 2": Highest Graded Example!

This remarkable "PSA Gem Mint 10" 1954 Bowman offering of Harry "Fritz" Dorish just happens to reside as the SOLE and finest graded specimen of its kind! Indeed, no other PSA encapsulated copy has managed to achieve the sheer perfection assessment that places this "unique for the grade" marvel as the undisputed pinnacle subject. Right-handed hurler Harry Dorish played a formidable 10 MLB seasons with four different ball clubs, with most of that time split between the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. While he will never be enshrined in Cooperstown for his moderate at best achievements, his representation on this "1 of 1" masterpiece truly secures his cardboard legacy.

Another one of our consignor's nearly dead-on centered images, the Dorish illustration emanates the finest possible resolution and sparkling hues, as the White Sox pitcher rubs up a baseball before game time. Both surfaces appear pack-fresh, a razor-sharp perimeter includes four pinpoint corners and the bright white borders stand as the final compliment for this awe-inspiring masterpiece as the irrefutable "king of the hill!"
