The 1994 All-Star game would be played at the Pittsburgh Pirates renowned home field, Three Rivers Stadium" and it would mark the fourth time the Pirates would host the Mid-Summer Classic. The National League would eventually fend of the A.L. by an 8-7 score in 10 innings, with manager Jim Fregosi claiming his first All-Star victory. Game MVP Fred McGriff would hit the game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth while in the bottom of the 10th, Moises Alou smacked a double to drive in the legendary Tony Gwynn to win the game. The two N.L. coaches Fregosi selected for the game were the extremely well-respected Dusty Baker and Don Baylor, who was in the midst of his second year of managing the expansion Colorado Rockies. As two prestigious heirlooms from that memorable event, offered here is both Don Baylor's 1994 All-Star Game 10K Gold ring as well as a personal gift bowl set likewise presented to him for his renowned role as a National League coach.

The ring itself weighs approximately 36 grams and synonymous to Baylor's other rings, depicts an approximate 11.5 size. A brilliant CZ round stone is affixed in the center of a silver hued baseball. Encompassing the top and bottom of the silver baseball is the following raised verbiage "BASEBALL ALL-STAR" with side perimeter reading "1994". The right-side shank portrays the classic N.L. Eagle/Baseball Diamond logo including the text "Since 1876 National League" and three stars, while the opposite left shank also reveals three stars beneath a 1994 AS Game logo (reading: "PITTSBURGH PIRATES – 1994 ALL-STAR GAME"). The final engraving resides on the inner band, clearly reading "BALFOUR AURALITE", with the NM+/MT ring retaining a majority of its brilliant eye appeal. Regarding the 5-piece real China "Bowl Set", it includes a large "serving bowl" (measuring approximately 5" tall x 9-5/8" wide) that likewise provides the classic gold hued N.L. Logo on its ultra-shiny mid-night blue surface on one side, with the opposite side portraying the following gold hued text: "1994 ALL STAR GAME – Don Baylor".

The upper and bottom rims depict robust gold hues, and the inside glossy white surface reflects a string of line-drawn baseballs directly beneath the circular gold rims. Synonymous with the Serving Bowl, the four accompanying smaller white bowls (each measuring approximately 1-1/4" tall x 5" wide) also present themselves in immaculate-like condition and likewise include gold hued circular rims. These bowls, along with the aforementioned All-Star Ring combine to form a stellar 1994 All-Star Game "Dynamic Duo" that any sophisticated enthusiast would gladly welcome into their prized collection! - LOA from Becky Baylor
