(LOT 102)
1909 T206 Bobby Wallace – Piedmont 150 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - " 1 of 2; Only 3 Graded Higher for ALL Ad Backs!"

This magnificent PSA NM/MT 8 T206 Piedmont 150 Subjects offering of Cooperstown Inductee Bobby Wallace currently stands alone as one of the premier Bobby Wallace T206 Portraits extant. One of a meager 2 specimens at this stratospheric tier, only 3 paltry examples have managed a higher technical assessment! Hall of Fame shortstop Bobby Wallace played an amazing 25 years in the Major Leagues, with few people realizing that this defensive "standout" was the 1st shortstop to be elected to baseball's illustrious, preceding Joe Cronin by three years. He was generally accepted as the best "turn of the century" shortstop and is one of the few players to ever be enshrined into Cooperstown for their fielding ability, alone.

His classic Carl Horner portrait pose is spectacular, depicting superior registration, virtually "dead-on" 50/50 centering, and an imposing blend of gray and brown colors as well as a sparkling yellow/orange background. The four corners and edging are blistering sharp, the brilliant surfaces are ultra-clean and the dazzling white borders reveal no glaring blemishes. An extraordinary version of Wallace's highly coveted portrait subject, now is your golden opportunity to emulate Wallace's unparalleled ability for "picking-up" ground balls by capturing this miraculous memento via a simple final bid!
