Extremely Rare "Pre-Rookie" Larry (Yogi) Berra Vintage Signature Dated Aug 21, 1945! - PSA/DNA Encapsulated Authentic
Presented here is an extremely rare pre-rookie era Yogi Berra signature, signed "Larry (Yogi) Berra" on August 21, 1945! Berra made his MLB Yankee debut in 1946, after playing most of the season with their minor league AAA Newark Bears affiliate. His professional career actually started in 1943 when he played for the Yankee's Class B Norfolk Tars, and like so many other MLB players, his career was interrupted by WWII where he served two years in the U.S. Navy.
Interestingly enough, this remarkable 5" x 6" scripted album page was signed only 12 days before Japan officially surrendered to end WWII! The "Larry (Yogi) Berra" signature reflects "8/9" strength with the "Aug 21, 1945" date situated near the upper right edge. Encapsulated by PSA for ironclad authenticity, it stands as one of the earliest pre-rookie era Berra signatures extant, with its sheer paucity level placing it as a momentous script for any advanced Hall of Fame collection! - PSA/DNA Authentic
