Finding pre-1960 autographs of the "Say Hey Kid" is an extremely painstaking venture, let alone one that is boldly scripted on a Willie Mays 8" x 10-1/2" image. This extremely scare offering just happens to include an early to mid-1950's Willie Mays autograph that has been signed in bold blue ball point pen with the full inscription reading "Best Wishes – Willie Mays" and emanating "Mint 9" strength.

Even more enticing is that it is scripted on an imposing and obscure Bill Jacobellis "Bat Over Shoulder Mays" photo print from that period, with Jacobellis certainly residing as one of the foremost sports photographers from that era. The image is in fine condition, revealing only a diminutive left edge chip, with the Mays central image depicting an outstanding good-natured pose of the incomparable center-fielder. Considered by many as our National Pastime's greatest "5-tool" player ever, this superb offering includes the ultra-scarce early to mid-1950's Willie Mays script that has eluded a majority of his adoring fan base.
