(LOT 32)
1903 E107 Breisch Williams Jake Stahl "Type 1" Blank Back (PSA VG/EX 4/MK) – "1 of 1" & The Highest Graded Example, Qualifiers Notwithstanding, on the COMBINED SGC & PSA "Pop" Charts!

Presented here is the ultra-rare E107 subject of Boston American's 1st baseman/outfielder Jake Stahl in a splendid PSA VG/EX 4/MK holder. The SOLE example encapsulated by PSA, it currently resides as the HIGHEST GRADED specimen in the hobby. Interestingly enough, while the checklist subject is Jake Stahl, this hallowed Carl Horner image is actually "Chick" Stahl who was the regular center-fielder and team captain. The "Chick" Stahl portrait image likewise portrays championship caliber via its fine contrast and stellar resolution.

More significantly, the illustration atypically depicts near-perfect centering, with many E107 subjects reflected skewed images. No obtrusive creasing is evident with some stray soiling/toning on the borders and verso preventing a higher assessment. Accounting for the "MK" qualifier is a few dotted notations on the blank back's upper quadrants, none of which detract from the outstanding central image and overall aesthetics that place this Stahl offering as the finest of its kind!
