(LOT 8)
Ty Cobb Signed Cancelled Check JSA LOA & PSA/DNA MINT 9 Encapsulated

In customary bold green ink, on 12/28/56, Cobb writes a check for $28.63 for TV repairs to Frank's TV Service out of Menlo Park, CA. Cobb's signature on this First National Bank of Nevada personal check, rates a MINT 9 by PSA's standards. A clean check signed by this Detroit Tigers Baseball Hall Of Famer. Nicknamed The Georgia Peach, Cobb was an outfielder. He was born in rural Narrows, Georgia.

Cobb spent 22 seasons with the Detroit Tigers, the last six as the team's player-manager, and finished his career with the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1936 Cobb received the most votes of any player on the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, receiving 222 out of a possible 226 votes (98.2%); no other player received a higher percentage of votes until Tom Seaver in 1992. In 1999, editors at the Sporting News ranked Ty Cobb third on their list of "Baseball's 100 Greatest Players". This is definitely one check you don't want to let go! PSA/DNA MINT 9!
