Satchel Paige Single Signed Baseball Obtained 1954 PSA/DNA 5.5 AUTO GRADE 7
This baseball was obtained by our consignor on July 31st, 1954. A copy of the article from the Helena Independent Record dated July 11th,1954 accompanies this baseball. HEADLINE reads, "Helena Area Baseball Fans to see $50,000 Pitcher July 31st When Satchel Paige Brings Club Here". WOW. To be a face in the crowd that day..to experience a one on one encounter with none other than LeRoy "Satchel" Paige!

This baseball has been deemed a PSA/DNA 5.5 grade with an Autograph Grade as a PSA/DNA 7. Overall PSA/DNA 5.5 grade is high for Satchel Paige single signed baseballs. Keep in mind, this was signed right after he retired so in essence it is a playing day era signature. The large signature has been smacked on this baseball by this 1971 Baseball Hall Of Fame Inductee which reads, "Best Wishes, From Satchel Paige". A 2 page letter describing how and where our consignor obtained this baseball is included along with an LOA from PSA/DNA stating that the grade of this rare single signed baseball is in fact a PSA/DNA 5.5.
